Our Story
The idea for the emost project emerged in 2017 during a workshop by the Axpo Division "Renewable Energy" at the Albert-Heim Hut in Switzerland. Born within Switzerland's largest utility company, the project aimed to replace diesel generators across various industries, including construction, events, and film production.
Founded within Axpo, Switzerland's biggest utility company, we have a unique heritage in Switzerland's energy landscape. This foundation within the country's largest energy provider gave us unparalleled insights into grid operations, energy distribution challenges, and the evolving needs of Switzerland's energy infrastructure. Our origins in this prestigious environment shaped our understanding of energy systems at the highest level.
From our origins in Switzerland's biggest utility, we've evolved through continuous innovation and rigorous field testing. Our journey began with field tests in summer 2018, progressing through multiple generations: the Butler S 3rd Generation in summer 2020, the 4th Generation in 2021, and reaching our current state-of-the-art series in 2023.
After successful onboarding of multiple service and sales partners, the project was spun off into emost AG in 2022 as an independent company, founded to enable rapid growth across Europe. This transition allowed us to accelerate our mission of providing innovative, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions that empower businesses and communities to achieve energy independence.
